Saturday, February 29, 2020 11 AM -2 PM for day activities, evening hike from 5:30-6:30 PM
This day only comes around every 4 years, so why not celebrate? Stop by to learn about Leap Day and some other of nature’s leapers. And stop by in the evening for a hike as we close out this special day.
Spring Break Night Hike
Fridays, March 27 from 7-8 PM
Come explore and enjoy early spring sights and sounds as we explore the park at night. Please dress for weather, as trails will be wet this time of year. Recommended for ages 5 and up. Pre-registration required; please call 219-844-3188. Homeschool, scout and other groups are welcome to attend, but families must register individually.
Sunday, February 2 from 2-3 PM
Are groundhogs grumpy when they have to leave their warm digs to check on their shadow? Learn about these unusual animals and just how Groundhog Day came about. Pre-registration required, please call 219-844-3188.
Tuesday March 17 from 10-11 AM
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day as we hunt for 4-leaf clovers and leprechaun homes in the forest. Please dress for weather, as trails will be wet this time of year.

Spring is in the air! Drop-in anytime throughout the day to to learn about animals that hatch from eggs through egg-citing games and crafts.
